Elizabeth Lane, MFT
There are many excellent therapists to choose from in Marin, but it can be tough to know who will be right for you. Here are a few things to know about me to help in your decision.
I work collaboratively. I aim to listen with warmth and compassion, but I also emphasize working together, interacting, and sharing ideas and insights.
I believe your past is important, and I also focus on present challenges. Your history gives us valuable information about how you developed into the person you are today. We will draw from this insight to clarify what shifts and changes could help you today.
I customize treatment to your unique needs. I am trained in many modalities -- Psychodynamic, Relational, Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness, Couples, and Family -- and will integrate these approaches to address your needs most effectively.
I support your personal growth. My hope is not only to reduce difficult symptoms and behaviors, but also to help you better understand who you are and what you want from your life.
I work with adults and adolescents. I have a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University and am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT). In addition to my private practice, I have provided school-based counseling at Dominican University and currently support adolescents at Tamalpais High School.
I am a seasoned professional with over a decade of corporate marketing experience. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I earned an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management and worked in brand management and strategy for a number of global brands. I have a solid understanding of the business world and can offer support to individuals who want to work on professional challenges in therapy.
